Emotional therapy

What is emotional therapy?

Emotional therapy focuses on our feeling and emotions as human beings. Feelings and emotions are a natural reaction to different events in our lives – events that are considered good and events that are considered bad. Both can be a challenge for us. Crisis’s such as death, divorce, termination, lack of belief and such can become triggers for various emotions that come up to the surface and can be expressed in behaviors that are not useful, such as violence, anger, avoidance, ETC. Even events that are considered positive, such as giving birth, marriage and a new job can awaken feelings that we will struggle to handle.

The goal of emotional therapy is the to reach a point in which our emotions are clear to us, we can react to them in a way that allows us to evolve and move forward, whether it is in relationships, workplaces and mainly, with our selves.

Usually, in emotional therapy, there is a conversation and a deep learning to understand the person’s actual need and selecting the correct ways to deal with the situation.

Parent’s guidance – when?

Many times, in our institute, we witness a process of change and growths with our patients with the Neurofeedback technology. Often, the parents will also grow and change with the process, and there will be a need for help and guidance.

Parent’s guidance at the BrainGames institute is a positive feedback-oriented guidance –  the parents receive and learn practical tools on how to correctly feedback their kids [or their selves] at home, how to treat each and everyone of the family according to their own needs, how to explain the outside world to their kids, how to get to know their kid out of curiosity and not out of being judgmental, and the most important, how to actively listen to their kid in an efficient way.

The emotional therapy and parent’s guidance at the BrainGames institute are performed by Eli Toledano.
